The Tuscia

The Tuscia territory, term used by Romans to indicate the Etruscan Land includes all the Viterbo province. The short distance from Rome (50 minutes from Viterbo) and from the major art towns and highlights of Central Italy, makes it an ideal starting point for any kind of activities.

We are in the upper Lazio, between Rome and Tuscany, between the Tyrrhenian sea and Umbria. An historic, artistic and naturalistic environment, in a position to compete with flying colors with the most titled Italian regions.

Many are the possibilities of excursions and activities for any kind of interest: visits to archeological Etruscan sites, to villas, palaces and gardens of the Italian '500 to perched and ancient medieval villages; rambles along lakes or in the thick Cimini Mountain woods; tastings of first-rate typical local products in evocative environments; regenerating baths and thermal therapies.

Parks, lakes, woods and protected Natural Reserves allow most various sport activities like horse ridings, trekking, walks, mountain bike tours, sailing, windsurf, natural trails for the blind.

Of utmost importance is the Bolsena lake reachable in only 20 minutes drive from the Costaguti Castle.
